Samantha Artese

About Me

Samantha has been pursuing her passion and love of the arts since an early age gaining experience with both stage and film. Some of her favorite stage credits include Portia in The Merchant of Venice and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Her film credits include both short and feature length independent films. Her most recent film,Things We Don't Know, with Red Flight Pictures, took home the win for Best Short Film at the 2017 Fort Meyers Beach Film Festival and was an official selection of the 8th Underground Short Film Awards in Dublin, Ireland. The Evangelist, a horror, has won numerous awards at the Cinefest Downbeach Film Festival in Atlantic City, NJ and was picked up for worldwide distribution.

 

Having trained with professionals around the country, her knowledge is thorough and extensive. She has studied in both academic and professional settings, and has knowledge of many different styles. Always looking to increase her knowledge and grow as an individual, Samantha graduated from Monmouth University Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Theatre. 

 

Samantha shares her passion with others through teaching and has coordinated theater education Acting and Musical Theater programs in the central and south Jersey areas including Brookdale Community College, Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan and the historic Strand Theater in Lakewood. 

 

Against the Grain an award winning short film written, produced and directed by Samantha is her first foray into telling her own story.
